Bayside Harley-Davidson is proud to be a host site for the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles Virginia Rider Training Program (VRTP). The Virginia Rider Training program Basic RiderCourse (BRC) coaches the fundamental skills and is NOT intended to produce the superb riding skills of an experienced rider; rather, it provides the basic ENTRY-LEVEL skills for a new rider to begin practicing and developing the mental and motor skills important for safe street operation.
Basic RiderCourse (BRC)) - (24 students maximum)
2 1/2 days, upon successful completion a certificate is issued. The Virginia DMV driving test waiver is good for two years from the date issued on the waiver card at any Virginia DMV office. You must take the written test, NOT the driving test, with a valid waiver card. Virginia DMV offices only, other States may not accept Virginia's waiver or MSF card. You do not need a MOTORCYCLE learner's permit.
